Active protection solutions against frost

Antifreeze candles

Antifreeze candles are a proven solution for frost protection. Made from kerosene, they warm the ambient air for up to 8-9 hours, and are effective down to -6°C. For optimum protection, we recommend using 350 to 400 candles per hectare. Refills are available for reusing containers.

Heating cables

The heating cable system provides constant, automated protection. Installed along the rows of vines, these cables maintain a stable temperature around the vines. This solution has the advantage of being reusable over several years, and requires little manpower once installed.

Anti-frost bells

Anti-frost cloches create a physical barrier around vine plants, helping to maintain a higher temperature around the buds. Easy to install and remove, they offer effective protection for particularly sensitive young plants.

Climate nets

Climate nets act as a thermal barrier, limiting heat loss from the soil to the atmosphere. They can save several degrees during critical nights, and can be used in conjunction with other protection systems.
